How I Spent My Saturday.

Here are just a few of the over 200 pictures that were taken at my daughters' dance recital on Saturday. The oldest was in two shows, the youngest in just one.



Donkey had five clothing changes (well six if you count the fact that she had to re-do one of her dances) and Chipmunk was only one dance, thankfully.







I couldn't have been a prouder momma to be honest! Actually, I am proud anytime one of my kids gets up on a stage because it's something that I have dreamed of for myself but never given myself the opportunity. I am not a lime-light person and neither are my kids. They get on stage because they love to do what they are doing on the stage, not just to be up there.

Next year, we are going to a different studio, one that isn't competitive and is more nurturing to the girls.

Going through photos late last week, I came across some "interesting" pictures. Pictures of Donkey and Monkey is outfits that I created! I have more but thought that I would go ahead and show you all these.

Here is monkey dressed up as a mouse for Halloween! Isn't he just cute? I think he was like 3 months old? His sister was a mouse too. That picture will come later.




Here he was many years later as the dashing super hero....... BATMAN! His face is all washed out, but you get the idea, right?

























And here, you see my handy work in an old family portrait. Yep, I made both of them outfits. It's so much easier making little girl clothes. Plus it's hard to find patterns for little boys. But I have to say, even back then, I did a pretty good job! I have other pictures that I will find, scan and post.

Going down memory lane is kinda fun.....
