Calling ALL WAH/Crafty Moms.. Gotta Question for Ya

It's amazing what can happen in a year. This time last year, I was launching with a group on eBay and things started to really take off and I really thought that my business was going places.

Then I got a phone call that I knew would happen but NEVER thought that it would affect me as much as it did: I lost my grandpa. To put it simply, he was my last living grandpa and the one that was in my life the most. Losing him was extremely hard.

When I took time out to grieve, it seems that I lost all the momentum that I once had. Then it was a snowball through the rest of the year. Online sales in 2010 were minimal. Local craft shows were okay, nothing earth-shattering, but I did well enough to want to keep doing them :)

In the last year, I have had more days of feeling like I don't know what direction to go then days where I feel like I am doing good.

My question to other work at home crafting moms is: How do you keep yourself going with your business? Comment to this blog and share. I am pretty sure that there are other women out there that could use some incite! Thanks SEW much :)

Prayer, my faith in God, love for design and creativity, fellowship and hard work are what keeps my business going. Trying to make a small business grow is no easy task. Sometimes, what worked one day won't work the next. I believe that working with other gals in business has also been helpful, ie: collaboration. I don't think there is one single thing that works more than prayer and faith in God. I couldn't do it at all without that. :-)
