Merry Christmas (late) and Happy New Year!

I didn't even go back and look to see if I had posted a "Merry Christmas"post or not, I am guessing that I didn't. lol At any rate, I hope that it was joyous and bright where ever on this earth you are! We had a nice, quiet holiday around here. All of my father's siblings were at his house on Christmas Eve and so were all my living siblings! The last time that happened, I was about to bust open with my youngest daughter who celebrated her FOURTH birthday on the 28th! God has been good to the Yoakum family this year.

Christmas time is usually when my depression begins to set in. Ever since 2000, Christmas time just wasn't the same. But this year, I let go of a lot, and it's made a difference. Time does heal all wounds, but so does letting go of the past.

WOW! 2010 is here. Can it really be? In a few short days, I will celebrate the 15th anniversary of becoming a mom! Of course, you know, that also means that will have a teenager who is old enough to GET her license, but will not HAVE her license, lol. Believe me, she's not happy. But then again, a license to learn to drive, or a roof over her head and food in the kitchen, which is more important? She'd probably say the license, but that is why she is 15 and I am, umm, much older.

I have been thinking about where Stitch'N Love is and where I want to see it go in the next year and (dare I say?) the next decade. We haven't made our niche in the boutique clothing world or the handmade world for that matter. But I think that people might be starting to take notice. I have my first batch of clothing tags and flat tags being produced right now! I am in the process of completing my first computer bag instructions. You remember the 10 bags that I had to make in a week for my mom? Well, she took the prototype as the gift exchange present at work! Someone there wanted to know who broke the $20 rule, that was a $75 bag!!!!!!!!!!! When she told me that New Years Eve, my jaw dropped! Guess I know how much to charge now.

Anyway, I will take time to write up some things that are going to happen here at Stitch'N Love as the new year begins. I hope to start up the "Spotlight On" series again very soon. I know that I have someone getting ready for the end of the month.

What is your favorite product that Stitch'N Love creates or has created in the past? What would you love to see?

I love everything you make! You're so creative, girl. I think, though, my favorites are Dakin's suit and costume :)

I am glad you had a good New Year's and Christmas. That is one of my resolutions this year--just to let go. I have too much drama in my life anyhow.

Hoping for a successful year/decade for Stich 'N Love! And that's AWESOME about the 75.00 bag thing!!
