Ciaos at it's Best!

It seems that trying to build a studio, starting a middle-schooler and a high-schooler in home schooling, getting a business ready for craft shows and stockings, and keeping the family and house running all while your hubby is working himself in the ground and out of town the majority of the summer, has finally caught up to me and actually isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Or maybe I didn't think it would really be easy and just put the auto-pilot brain in and I now see that it wasn't the best thing to do?

I don't know.

But I do know this, I am not the super-mom-can-take-care-of-everything-under-the-moon-and-still-look-like-she-came-off-the-runway-with-a-million-$$-smile-and-nothing-bothers-her look. lol

The studio is complete on the outside, it's the inside that needs to be done and there is no end in site. We have part of the electrical in (the wiring) just waiting on the breaker box and then we can finish the wiring, but in the insulation and lay down the flooring. Then it's just finding what we will do for walls. If I can get in before the middle of November, I will be more than happy at this point!

I had a show last weekend! It went okay. Had a lot of traffic, so hopefully that will mean more people into my online shops and all :)

I have another show the 16th. But between then and now: in laws arrive Thursday (also my mom's birthday), my anniversary is Friday, Sunday is my youngest's third birthday, and my in laws leave on Tuesday!

So, I hope after this next two weeks is over, that I can find a away to update the blog more often and be back to my usual, can't keep her mouth shut or her fingers from typing self! It's been a long while and I have all kinds of topics that I can talk about, some about the business and some about families and kids.

Drop a line, say hi, let me know that you read the blog! Lately I have been feeling like no one reads anything I write anymore :( Did I also mention that I am working on my self-image? lol Yeah, making myself believe that I am the best that I can be and if no one notices, it's their loss. I am also hoping that I can teach this to my teenage daughter! lol RIGHT

Manic Mondays Indeed!

Looking at my blog posts, I have been not keeping up like my normal self. Life and work hit all of a sudden, not to mention the fact that last week, my family of six, my parents, sister, grandma and her good friend, took a five day vacation to visit Orlando and Disney World. As you can see, my son is not afraid to get into the magic of Disney! He had fun in Epcot getting to be one of the street performers in Japan.

Now, I am back home. Going crazy trying to get back into the swing of things. Dance classes, son wants to start wrestling and I have a big craft show coming up on Hilton Head on the 15th.

Add to that, I am venturing into eBay groups and have a few launches that I need to get ready for, and you have one wired seamstress! But I love it and treasure every last stress. I am blessed to be able to stay home and do something that gives me great pleasure, while getting to spend time with all my kids.

Speaking of my loving kids, my chipmunk decided the Monday before we left that her hair was a bit too long and cut into the side of her hair! My mom came to the rescue and fixed it up really nice. She looked like a true Pixie walking around the Magic Kingdom in her mixed matched outfit and fairy wings! As far as she was concerned, she was a fairy, and a beautiful one at that!

Be on the look out for some great holiday shopping sales in the Artfire shops starting soon!

And We Have a $25 GC WINNER!!!!

First, I want to thank each and every person that came and signed up for my giveaway. I still can't believe that there were 37 entries! That just amazes me. It's been a roller coaster of a weekend for me, personally, and I thank each and everyone that made wonderful comments about my work. You guys are the reason that I keep up with all this (not to mention, well, I love creating stuff!).

I have lots going on in my head that I am putting on paper and hope to get created in the next few months. I have a bunch of models lined up for a photo shoot for next month, so that is my motivation after I get through this next week of festival-going here in town.

Anyway, Congrats to Celeste, the $25 Gift Certificate Winner! I will be emailing you later today if I don't hear from you first to let you know that you won and to give you the secret code (lol). Don't worry, there is a 3 month time limit, you have plenty of time to choose or wait to see what other great things are listed in the near future!
